Warehouse Dispatch Process

Order Picking – Warehouse employee use “Pick List” which is generated from the customer’s order and use certain picking methods like Single Order/Discrete, Batching, Zoning and Wave Picking Methods for faster picking and assemble them to dispatch.

Staging – The staging process involves Collecting, Verifying, Consolidating, and Sequencing Orders! During which the products are picked from different zones and verified against the customer’s order. After which they are grouped as per the delivery route and finally sequenced as per the loading plan.

Quality Check and Scanning – Products that are picked from the storage area will go for a quality check to ensure 100% delivery with no returns! After the QC process, the products are scanned and their details are stored in the central server for Track and Trace purpose and it is considered as the 2nd stage verification for order picking against customer’s order.

Packing – At this stage, the bins carrying the products are wrapped/packaged using appropriate material and other activities like marking the boxes and labeling(label carrying the data about the products and special instruction) are done! Later transit compatibility is checked to ensure there will be no chances of damages during the transportation.

Dispatch Planning – This process involves vehicle selection, route planning and grouping the orders! This is also the area where the systematical approach is followed to minimize the transportation cost. Once all the processes are done POD(Proof of Delivery) is generated which authorizes the facility to bill for the service it renders.
